Tri-band MESH Radio Tunnel Test Report
Aba Prefecture Balang Mountain Doshi Mountain Track
Model: MANET301M-3
1. Overview
The test site is located at the construction site of the Doshi Mountain track in Balang Mountain, Aba Prefecture. The tunnel is currently in a phase where its total length is 1100 rings. This construction tunnel has an upward slope and includes some curves, with a challenging installation environment that makes the setup difficult. Based on the current situation on-site, in order to ensure the reliability of the wireless network and meet the network bandwidth requirements in the production environment, we have divided the base stations into three deployment areas: the ground, tunnel, and locomotive:
1) One base station on the top of the monitoring center at the project office.
2) One base station at the top of the entrance of the right line of the Balang Mountain tunnel.
3) Five base stations inside the left line of the Balang Mountain tunnel.
4) One base station installed on the shield machine in the left line.
5) Two base stations installed on the locomotive in the left line.
The base station at the project office communicates wirelessly with the base station at the top of the entrance of the right line of the Balang Mountain tunnel. The base station at the top of the right line entrance is connected via two optical fibers directly to the first base station in both the right and left lines of the tunnel. The other base stations inside the tunnel extend further along the tunnel.

3. Test Methods
All devices inside the tunnel have been installed. In the project office monitoring room, Computer 1 acts as the client and Computer 2 as the server. Bandwidth and latency tests are conducted at base stations 3, 4, 5, and 6 inside the tunnel.
Notes:
1) The existing MESH network extends internet access into the tunnel, and Wi-Fi networks can be used normally during testing.
2) Base Station 1 to Base Station 2 are connected wirelessly, and Base Station 2 to Base Station 3 are connected via fiber optics. Testing starts from Base Station 3.
Monitoring Room - Base Station 3 Test Results
Latency Test: Maximum value is 39ms, minimum value is 26ms, average value is 35ms. No packet loss.
Bandwidth Test: Maximum value is 405Mbps, average value is 350Mbps.
Monitoring Room - Base Station 4 Test Results
Latency Test: Maximum value is 75ms, minimum value is 50ms, average value is 63ms. No packet loss.
Bandwidth Test: Maximum value is 359Mbps, average value is 300Mbps.
Monitoring Room - Base Station 5 Test Results

Bandwidth Test: Maximum value is 286Mbps, average value is 275Mbps.
Overall Network Performance Testing
1) Performance Test: Currently, the main wireless link backbone network supports a bandwidth of over 200Mbps, and Wi-Fi is functioning normally.
2) Network Self-Healing Time: To verify the reliability of the equipment, we randomly shut down base station power during testing. The network self-healing time was approximately 15 seconds.
4. Test Environment Setup
1) On-Site Environment
Testing Venue: The test site is a construction tunnel. Base stations are positioned along the tunnel as the test environment. Devices are secured with nuts based on the existing conditions in the tunnel, ensuring stable testing of the overall link bandwidth.
2) On-Site Equipment Photos
6. Conclusion
1) Coverage: The MESH network base stations can achieve a coverage distance of 400-500 meters.
2) Overall Link Performance: The wireless transmission from the project office to the shield machine effectively ensures a stable bandwidth requirement of 200Mbps.
3) Tunnel Wi-Fi Coverage: Wi-Fi coverage within the tunnel is functioning normally.
4) Locomotive Wireless Transmission: Wireless transmission and IP phone communication on the locomotive are operating normally.
